Today’s session I had to relinquish Matthias whom I wish to get well soon. The show went on and we can present version 0.3 of our model boat app which now contains a visualization of accelerometer values.
This session we were playing Ouya again. Futhermore we installed our own apk file on the Android console.
This session we took a break from our regular work to unbox the Ouya gaming console that has eventually arrived. After playing a couple of indie games we dicusses the possibility to build our own game on the Ouya platform.
Since yesterday we are hosting our own fdroid repository. Now we are hosting our current Android projects being still in development. In the future we want to distribute our stable apps and the corresponding code alike. Feel free to test and use what is in our repository : http://fdroid.interoberlin.de
During this session we took a brake from working on our model boat project. This is partly caused by the explosion of model boat remote control…
We concentrated on our build processes which we want to use for Android and Raspberry alike. Today we focussed on deployment of Android apps. For that reason we installed fdroid on our server. Fdroid can be used as a Android repository for binaries as well as sources. Using the fdroid app we can receive the latest version of all apps we are working on.
Android app deployment automation
Whenever someone pushes any changes on an Android app to the source code management system a job on our continuous integration system Jenkins is triggered. This job fetches the latest sources and builds an Android apk file. After that the Jenkins job copies it to our fdroid repository and updates it.
We are planning to achieve a simple communication between an Android device and a Raspberry Pi. At the end of the day we managed to send an HTTP GET from our Android phone which contain accelerometer values to the Raspberry which then outputs the values on.
Until next week we want to improve the scalabilty and the user interface of our app.
Since yesterday we are hosting Minecraft on our server. If you want to join contact us at email@example.com. Here are the key facts :
- IP 126.96.36.199
- Server version 1.5.2
- modding via Craftbukkit
- daily backup of save states
This Thursday we will not work on our model boat project together. Our next appointment will be on June 20 2013. Stay tuned.
